Zanzibar President Hussein Ali Mwinyi promotes moral education and culture

Zanzibar President Hussein Ali Mwinyi has emphasized the vital role of madrasas in fostering moral values and religious education among the youth. Speaking during a special prayer session for the nation at Almadrasat Swifat Nabawiyatil Karimah, Mwinyi noted that religious education provides a foundation of respect and responsibility, helping young people navigate modern challenges and the influences of social media.

In a separate cultural development, President Mwinyi is expected to officiate the 31st Zanzibar Cultural Festival in Pemba. The event, held at the Gombani sports ground, aims to preserve and pass down Zanzibari customs, traditions, and ethics to younger generations. The festival will feature over 20 traditional dance groups and approximately 50 cultural entrepreneurs, traveling from Pemba to Unguja to celebrate local heritage.
