Zanzibar President launches CCM and ACT Wazalendo reconciliation committee

Zanzibar President Hussein Ali Mwinyi has officially launched a Joint Discussion Committee composed of members from the Chama Cha Mapinduzi (CCM) and ACT Wazalendo parties. The committee is intended to advance the reconciliation process and strengthen political peace, unity, and stability within Zanzibar.

This initiative follows previous agreements reached between the two political parties. President Mwinyi urged committee members to act with integrity and cooperation, prioritizing the broader interests of Zanzibar and its citizens. He emphasized that political differences should not hinder the pursuit of peace and development.
