Zanzibar President secures investment and sports deals in overseas visits

Zanzibar President Hussein Ali Mwinyi has concluded official visits to Qatar, Spain, and Armenia, aimed at securing international cooperation in investment, sports, and environmental conservation.

In Qatar, Mwinyi met with the Alfardan Group, a company involved in hotel construction and residential development, which has expressed interest in investing in Zanzibar. These projects are expected to boost the tourism sector and create local employment.

During his visit to Spain, an agreement was signed between the Real Madrid Foundation and Unicorn Zanzibar Sports Limited. This partnership focuses on developing football talent through the establishment of a Real Madrid Academy in Zanzibar, which will provide professional training for local youth and capacity building for domestic coaches.
