Zaozhuang smart agriculture park boosts chrysanthemum exports
The Shuimu Fengnian Smart Agriculture Park in Zaozhuang, Shandong Province, is utilizing smart farming technologies to transform the local chrysanthemum industry. By implementing a two-crop rotation system and standardized greenhouses, the park has improved product quality and market adaptability compared to traditional cultivation methods.
During the current harvesting season, the park has exported 130,000 freshly cut chrysanthemums to the Republic of Korea. Additionally, 200,000 flowers were sold to major Chinese cities such as Beijing and Shanghai, while 110,000 were supplied to the local market. The facility is currently preparing to plant one million chrysanthemums for the upcoming crop.
The adoption of advanced cultivation technologies and refined management allows the park to match specific varieties and harvesting standards to the distinct needs of domestic and overseas markets. This technological shift provides local farmers with technical support, seedlings, and cold-chain logistics, contributing to job creation and increased regional economic returns.
