Zaporizhzhia shopping center hit by Russian drone strikes

Russian forces launched drone attacks against Zaporizhzhia and the Odesa region overnight on Monday, September 7. In Zaporizhzhia, a strike targeted the City Mall shopping center, causing significant damage.

According to Ivan Fedorov, head of the Zaporizhzhia Regional Military Administration, the shopping center was hit by unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), though no casualties were reported. The State Emergency Service of Ukraine (DSNS) reported that six separate fires broke out at the mall, covering an area of approximately 700 square meters. Emergency responders, including 40 rescuers, were deployed to manage the aftermath.

In the Odesa region, strikes caused damage to residential buildings, fences, and facades. Additional fires were reported in the Odesa and Izmail districts, affecting vehicles and outbuildings, all of which were subsequently extinguished by emergency services.
