Zaptec and Sonepar launch strategic EV charging partnership in Germany

Zaptec, a leading Norwegian maker of intelligent electric‑vehicle charging solutions, and Sonepar, the global electrical‑goods distributor, announced a strategic partnership to market Zaptec’s complete charging portfolio across Germany. Under the agreement Sonepar will integrate Zaptec’s products—including the Zaptec Pro M&E AC stations for larger, networked installations and the compact Zaptec Go 2 for home or fleet use—into its nationwide sales and logistics network, offering 24‑hour availability to electricians, planners and project partners.

Both companies highlighted the technical advantages of Zaptec’s patented phase‑balancing and power‑line communication, which are especially suited to challenging environments such as underground garages and multi‑family buildings. Executives Thomas Hogrefe of Sonepar and Daniel Gwercher of Zaptec Germany called the collaboration a key step for expanding Germany’s charging infrastructure and supporting the country’s broader electrification goals.
