Zaragoza hosts second edition of Inclucina inclusive gastronomy awards
The city of Zaragoza hosted the second edition of the Inclucina National Awards, an event designed to highlight the talent and professional potential of students with intellectual disabilities, autism, and borderline intellectual capacity.
Participants from twelve different vocational training centers across Spain competed by preparing recipes, including a challenge involving green gnocchi. The competition was judged by a high-profile panel including three-Michelin-starred chef Elena Arzak, Lourdes Plana of the Royal Academy of Gastronomy, and various culinary critics.
Among the winners was Yraya Zaldua from the CI Burlada FP center in Navarra, who received one of the second-place honors. The awards aim to demonstrate how vocational training and inclusive environments can foster autonomy, creativity, and professional opportunities for people with disabilities in the culinary sector.
