Zaragoza police investigate fatal stabbing of wild boar in bar
Spanish National Police are investigating the circumstances surrounding the death of a wild boar that entered a bar in the historic center of Zaragoza during the Fiestas del Pilar celebrations on October 18.
According to reports, the animal wandered through several streets, possibly following a riverbed, causing tension among pedestrians. The boar eventually entered the bar El Jardín del Temple, where it struck a woman, requiring her to be treated at the Hospital Universitario Miguel Servet.
Following the incident, the establishment owner and several customers reportedly restrained the animal by its tail and moved it to the rear of the premises. Fearing further attacks on people, the owner allegedly used a 20-centimeter knife to kill the boar. Authorities are currently taking statements from witnesses and involved parties to clarify the exact details of the event.
