Zaragoza PSOE denounces lack of transparency in La Romareda stadium contracts

The PSOE party has denounced a lack of transparency regarding industrial lease contracts related to the construction of the new La Romareda stadium in Zaragoza. Socialist councilman Horacio Royo criticized the local government for refusing to release documents concerning these agreements, despite a prior agreement in the Spokespersons' Board to make them public.

Royo specifically questioned a contract signed on March 2, 2026, which stipulates an 8 million euro payment by Nueva Romareda, even though the stadium has not yet been built. He suggested this lack of clarity regarding industrial leases might be linked to the financial interests of the private partner involved. The PSOE has emphasized that their demand is focused specifically on industrial leases rather than sponsorship or modular stadium contracts.
