Zašto?Teatar premieres Dostoevsky adaptation in Omiš
The theatre collective Zašto?Teatar has premiered a new production titled ‘Bijele noći’ (White Nights) in Omiš, based on the novella by Fyodor Dostoevsky. Directed and adapted by Jakov Tralić, the play features Mate Tavrić as Sanjar and Ira Osibov as Nastenjka.
The production is noted for its minimalist stage design and effective use of light at the Ilirsko sjemenište chamber theatre. The visual concept utilizes a blend of traditional and contemporary elements, such as Nastenjka’s modern branded top paired with a voluminous traditional skirt, to explore themes of love and belonging.
