Zay Flowers listed as day-to-day after injury scare in Ravens practice

Baltimore Ravens wide receiver Zay Flowers is considered day-to-day after sustaining a left quad contusion during a Saturday training camp practice. The injury occurred during a 7-on-7 drill when Flowers collided with safety Jaylinn Hawkins.

Head coach Jesse Minter indicated that the injury is not expected to result in significant long-term time missed. The scare comes shortly after Flowers signed a four-year, $140 million contract extension, which includes $108 million in guarantees, making him one of the highest-paid wide receivers in the NFL.

While Flowers recovers, the team's coaching staff has used the opportunity to evaluate other players in the receiving corps, including veteran Rashod Bateman and rookie third-round pick Ja’Kobi Lane.
