Zazie discusses father's death and new album Volatil

French singer Zazie has revealed the recent passing of her father, Hervé de Truchis de Varennes, during an appearance on the television program Quotidien. Hervé de Truchis de Varennes was an urban architect from a noble French family with roots in Burgundy.

During the interview with Yann Barthès, Zazie discussed how these personal experiences have influenced her upcoming album, Volatil, scheduled for release on October 2. She noted that the track ‘La Nostalgie’ explores themes of aging and the shifting dynamics of family relationships, specifically the experience of becoming a ‘parent to one’s parents.’

Zazie also touched upon her mother’s health, noting that at 93 years old, she is experiencing memory issues. The singer mentioned that her upcoming tour will begin in Strasbourg on March 18, 2027, followed by performances at various Zénith venues across France.
