Zazie recalls Bataclan attacks and childhood coma
French singer Zazie has shared personal reflections during an interview with Nagui on the program ‘Des ailes de géant’. While promoting her new album, ‘Volatil’, the artist revisited traumatic and profound life experiences.
Zazie recounted the night of the November 13, 2015, terrorist attacks in Paris, noting that she and her daughter, Lola, were near the Bataclan when the violence occurred. She described arriving at the scene approximately 15 to 20 seconds after the gunfire had ceased, characterizing the environment as a ‘war scene’. She recalled the instinct to provide first aid using her national first aid certification, but ultimately prioritized fleeing the area to protect her then-teenage daughter, who was in a state of shock.
Additionally, the singer discussed a medical experience from her childhood. At age nine, she underwent a deep surgical operation that resulted in a coma. She described feeling warmth during the transition into unconsciousness and recalled hearing specific medical terms, such as ‘biopsy’, ‘lymphangiome’, and ‘lymphome’, during the procedure.
