Zbigniew Bogucki and Donald Tusk clash over crypto legislation

A political dispute has emerged between Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk and Zbigniew Bogucki, the head of the Presidential Chancellery, regarding proposed cryptocurrency market legislation.

Prime Minister Tusk alleged that an amendment to Article 67 of a previous legislative draft, signed by Bogucki, was designed to weaken the state's ability to block websites that cause financial harm to citizens. Tusk claimed this amendment was pushed by Zondacrypto and aimed to protect certain entities from regulatory oversight.

Bogucki responded to these accusations with sharp rhetoric, stating, “You can release all your political and media hounds, you can track me, eavesdrop on me, interrogate me, sniff around, and nothing [will happen].”

In the midst of the controversy, Bogucki announced that a second presidential draft bill regarding the crypto-asset market has been submitted on behalf of the President.
