Zbigniew Ziobro: Motion for State Tribunal revised

A revised application to bring Zbigniew Ziobro before the State Tribunal has been submitted to the Polish Sejm. The updated motion, filed on September 15, removes the charge that Ziobro established and led an organized criminal group.

According to Jarosław Urbaniak of the Civic Coalition (KO), the removal of this specific charge follows legal opinions suggesting that leading a criminal group is a common crime rather than a constitutional offense. Ziobro is already facing criminal prosecution regarding these allegations, for which his immunity has been lifted.

The broader case involves alleged irregularities within the Justice Fund during Ziobro’s tenure as Minister of Justice. Prosecutors allege he committed 26 offenses, including instructing subordinates to break the law to secure grants for specific entities and interfering with competitive tender processes.
