Zcash gains 88% in 30 days as privacy demand drives rally

Zcash (ZEC) surged by roughly 88% over the past month, outpacing the broader cryptocurrency market, which rose only about 0.2% in the same period. The token’s market capitalization now stands near $9.6 billion, with a circulating supply of around 16 million tokens.

Analysts point to growing interest in financial privacy as a key driver, noting that other privacy-focused coins such as Monero and Dash have also posted gains. Technical charts show a possible cup‑and‑handle pattern, with resistance cited near $625‑$650 and a Fibonacci extension suggesting a target around $1,000.

BitMEX co‑founder Arthur Hayes speculated that Zcash could eventually reach 10 % of Bitcoin’s market cap, implying a price in the high four‑figure range. Institutional interest has risen, with hedge fund Multicoin Capital disclosing a position in ZEC and Robinhood adding the token to its platform, expanding retail access.
