Developers of the privacy‑focused cryptocurrency Zcash reported that security testing of the upcoming Ironwood protocol upgrade has revealed no critical vulnerabilities. The upgrade is progressing toward a test‑net activation, a prerequisite before any possible main‑net rollout, and is intended to help restore community confidence after a recent decline in the ZEC price.

The USB‑creation tool Rufus released version 4.15, which restores workarounds that let Windows 11 be installed on PCs that do not meet official TPM 2.0 or Secure‑Boot requirements. The update also fixes a silent‑install hang that stalled at 75 % and resolves crashes on systems with Snapdragon X processors. Users can now install Windows 11 on older hardware that supports the SSE‑4.2 instruction set, using registry tweaks supplied with the tool.
