Zcash price jumps 100‑fold against Bitcoin as investors await ETF and network upgrades
Zcash (ZEC) has surged dramatically, gaining roughly 100 times its value against Bitcoin over the past year and trading around $614 in June 2026, a rise of more than 1,000 % in twelve months. The rally follows a series of favorable developments, including the SEC closing its multi‑year investigation of the Zcash Foundation, Grayscale filing to convert its Zcash Trust into a spot ETF, and the rollout of Network Upgrade 7 (NU7) and Project Tachyon, which aim to speed private transactions and add quantum‑resistant features.
Analysts project bullish scenarios for 2026, with price targets between $900 and $1,200 if the NU7 mainnet proves successful and the ETF receives approval. A bearish outlook places the asset near $400 if support at the $595 – $540 Fibonacci levels breaks. Technical charts show ZEC/BTC approaching the 0.01 BTC level, a peak not seen since 2019, and price action clustered around key resistance zones at $646, $687 and $806. The cryptocurrency’s market cap is about $10.2 billion, and it remains listed on major exchanges worldwide.
