Zcash price surges following launch of first European ETP
Zcash (ZEC) has experienced a significant price surge, reaching levels not seen since its launch in 2016. The token recently surpassed the $1,600 mark, driven largely by the launch of Europe’s first Zcash Exchange Traded Product (ETP) by 21Shares on the Euronext Paris and Amsterdam markets.
This new financial product allows traditional investors to access Zcash through standard brokerage accounts without the need for cryptocurrency exchanges or private key management. The European listing follows the Grayscale spot Zcash ETF on the NYSE, increasing regulated access for both American and European investors.
Zcash co-founder Eli Ben-Sasson maintains a long-term bullish outlook, predicting the price could reach $5,000 by the end of 2026. While the token has seen a massive annual increase of nearly 2,954% and a weekly jump of 43%, market analysts note recent volatility as the price consolidates around the $1,500 level.
