Zdeněk Pohlreich criticizes Pancho´s restaurant in Plzeň

Chef Zdeněk Pohlreich visited the Pancho´s Mexican restaurant in Plzeň as part of the television program ‘Ano, šéfe!’. The restaurant, located in the Slovany district, is reportedly struggling financially.

During the visit, Pohlreich criticized the food for lacking authenticity and freshness. After tasting dishes such as a hamburger, chicken quesadilla, and grilled cactus, he described the meal as ‘theatrical but tasteless,’ noting that ingredients like the jalapeños appeared pre-cooked or marinated rather than fresh. He concluded that the restaurant lacks the quality necessary to attract customers, questioning whether the staff can prioritize quality over speed.
