Zdeněk Pohlreich returns with new season of ‘Ano, šéfe!’

The popular Czech culinary program ‘Ano, šéfe!’ (Yes, Chef!) is returning for a new season. The series, featuring chef Zdeněk Pohlreich, focuses on mentoring restaurant owners and addressing issues within the Czech gastronomy sector, such as the use of frozen semi-finished products and poor economic management.

The new season is available for streaming on the Prima+ platform one week ahead of its broadcast on TV Prima. The premiere episode takes place in the Liberec region at the ‘U Zlatého buřtu’ pub, where Pohlreich addresses issues including improper food storage, hygiene concerns, and uninspired menus.

Pohlreich has noted that his approach to mentoring has evolved since the show’s inception in 2009, moving toward a different style of interaction with industry professionals while continuing to advocate for high-quality ingredients and economic viability in restaurants.
