Zdenko Lučić pledges to donate Presidency salary to charity

Zdenko Lučić, a candidate for the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina, has announced that if elected, he will renounce his official salary and donate the monthly funds to humanitarian causes. Lučić stated that his military pension makes the salary unnecessary and intends to distribute the money through monthly tenders to humanitarian organizations or families in need.

During his campaign, Lučić criticized current political leadership, specifically targeting Dragan Čović, and addressed regional economic issues such as unpaid water compensation for the Orlovac hydroelectric plant. He also advocated for the dismissal of diplomats appointed by current officials and the implementation of transparent hiring processes for younger staff.

Lučić has also called for the abolition of betting shops, citing their negative impact on public health and social stability. He argued that the gambling lobby enjoys systemic tax exemptions that create inequality and warned that the addiction caused by these establishments destroys families and threatens the future of the youth.
