The ZDF Fernsehgarten, Germany’s long‑running Sunday live entertainment show, will not air a live edition on 9 August 2026 because the venue will be used to record Giovanni Zarrella’s open‑air show the evening before. Instead, ZDF will broadcast a pre‑recorded quiz special titled “40 Jahre Fernsehgarten – Das Quiz”, in which host Andrea Kiewel competes against Vincent Gross, Janine Kunze and Lutz van der Horst, with Joachim Llambi as moderator. A behind‑the‑scenes documentary “Backstage Fernsehgarten” will be shown on 19 August, offering rare insight into the show’s preparation. The regular live Fernsehgarten returns on 16 August 2026. The 26 July episode aired under the “Family Battle” theme, featuring mother‑child duos Frauke Ludowig & Nele, Patricia Kelly & Iggi, and Stefanie Hertel & Johanna.
