SpyOn: New ZDFneo comedy series follows BND trainees
The ZDFneo comedy series ‘SpyOn’ follows five unconventional trainees attempting to become professional agents at the Federal Intelligence Service (BND). The show utilizes a workplace comedy format, contrasting the high-stakes myths of international espionage with the bureaucratic realities of the German administrative state.
The ensemble cast includes Sami Hamad, Victoria von Meckwitz, Andreas Rödig, Zoë Voss, Asel Asanow, Yuki Rübsamen, and Götz Otto. The plot focuses on the trainees—Vicky, Andi, Sami, Yuki, and Asel—as they navigate rules, exams, and their own personal quirks under the guidance of instructor Voss.
While new episodes are not scheduled for September and October 2026, reruns are available on ZDFneo and via the ZDFmediathek streaming service.
