ZDF crime program ‘Aktenzeichen XY’ to feature unsolved cases
The ZDF crime investigation program ‘Aktenzeichen XY... Ungelöst’, hosted by Rudi Cerne, will feature several unsolved criminal cases in its upcoming broadcast on August 19, 2026. The program seeks public assistance to provide new leads for investigators.
Key cases include the 26-year-old cold case of 12-year-old Sandra Wißmann, who disappeared in Berlin-Kreuzberg in November 2000 after visiting a department store. Investigators are also looking for information regarding an unidentified man who approached a girl near Kottbusser Damm around the same time.
Other featured cases involve a sexual assault where a woman was pursued through a park, a missing student, a robbery following a market visit, and a mysterious murder of a 59-year-old man, Roland Färber, in a social accommodation in Glückstadt. In the case of Färber, authorities have offered a 3,000 euro reward for information leading to the resolution of the crime, as forensic evidence suggests violence was involved.
