ZDF releases fourth season of medical drama ‘Dr. Nice’

The ZDF television series ‘Dr. Nice’ has returned for its fourth season, featuring six new films available for streaming and scheduled for broadcast on the ‘Herzkino’ slot. The romantic medical drama follows Dr. Moritz Neiss, played by Patrick Kalupa, an internationally recognized star surgeon who moves to Flensburg after discovering he is a father.

In the new episodes, Neiss faces both personal and professional challenges. He deals with relationship turbulence involving his assistant Charlie Winkler (Josefine Preuß) and must navigate a housing crisis after being asked to leave his current accommodation. Medically, the series explores complex cases, including a mysterious respiratory illness affecting workers at a local shipyard.

The series has maintained significant viewership, with previous seasons attracting millions of viewers. The new installment continues to blend romantic comedy with medical mystery elements set against the backdrop of the Baltic Sea.
