ZDF revamps 'Wetten, dass..?' with Kaulitz twins as hosts

Germany’s ZDF announced that the long‑running Saturday‑night show "Wetten, dass..?" will return on 5 December 2026 with twins Bill Kaulitz and Tom Kaulitz of Tokio Hotel as its new presenters. Show chief Oliver Heidemann described the change as a "facelift" that will keep the programme’s core elements – bets, big music acts, celebrity guests and the traditional crowning of a "Wettkönig" or "Wettkönigin" – while giving the twins room to shape the show in their own style. Heidemann told DWDL that "in every case it’s an exciting journey we have now begun" and said preparations are already underway, including a dedicated ticket service, though the network has not confirmed whether the December edition will become a permanent revival. Former host Frank Elstner praised the experiment, calling it a bold move for the classic format.
