ZDF‑Fernsehgarten summer schedule altered with July show and August cancellation
The ZDF‑Fernsehgarten live show, hosted by Andrea Kiewel from the Lerchenberg studios in Mainz, continues its 2026 summer season on Sundays. The episode on 5 July 2026 will follow the “Urlaubs‑Feeling” theme and feature a line‑up that includes singers Lucas Cordalis, Christin Stark, Nick Howard, Julian David, the band Höhner, the trio Loona x Felix Harrer x Rednex, cellist‑songwriter Fidi Steinbeck, duo Bürger Lars Dietrich & Marti Fischer, and others.
The broadcast slated for 9 August 2026 will not take place because the ZDF‑Giovanni Zarrella Show will be recorded as an open‑air event on 8 August at the same venue. In place of the live show, a “Fernsehgarten” quiz celebrating the programme’s 40‑year anniversary will be aired. The Giovanni Zarrella Show will later be broadcast on 29 August.
Both changes are due to production planning rather than technical problems or weather issues.
