ZDFneo to premiere mockumentary series Nine to Five - Das Amt
ZDFneo is launching a new eight-part workplace mockumentary titled ‘Nine to Five - Das Amt’, which explores the chaotic daily life within a German administrative office. The series is set in the Berlin-Tiergarten-Mitte-West citizens' office and focuses on themes of bureaucracy, workplace dynamics, and personal complications.
The production was inspired by real-life experiences in the German civil service. Tülin Sezgin, who previously worked as a civil servant in Berlin, used her experiences from her social media project ‘Conny from the Block’ as a foundation for the series. Sezgin also appears in a minor role as a canteen manager.
The ensemble cast includes Friederike Kempter, who portrays the office manager Ronja Keller. The series is scheduled to air in double episodes on Tuesday evenings at 21:45.
