Zdzisława Różańska to run in Polish Senate by-elections

Zdzisława Różańska, the widow of the late Senator General Mirosław Różański, will run in the upcoming Senate by-elections. Under a coalition agreement known as the ‘Senate Pact,’ she has been selected as the joint candidate for the entire democratic camp.

The by-election is scheduled for November 22 in the Lubuskie Voivodeship, specifically in electoral district No. 20, which includes the counties of Krosno, Świebodzin, and Zielona Góra. The process of collecting signatures for her candidacy under the ‘Coalition of October 15 Voters’ has already begun.

The vacancy follows the death of General Mirosław Różański in August at the age of 63. A prominent military figure, the late senator previously served as the General Commander of the Armed Forces and held various strategic leadership roles in the Polish military before entering politics in 2023.
