ZecTrix Note 4 wireless ePaper display launches with voice AI

ZecTrix Lab unveiled the Note 4, a 4.2‑inch wireless ePaper display built around Espressif Systems' ESP32‑S3 microcontroller. The device combines a 400 × 300 black‑and‑white (or optional four‑color) e‑ink screen with Wi‑Fi 2.4 GHz, Bluetooth 5.0, a built‑in microphone and speaker, NFC, USB‑C charging, a 2,000 mAh rechargeable battery and a magnetic backplate for easy mounting on metal surfaces. It targets developers and makers for dashboards, reminders, smart home interfaces and other custom embedded projects.

The Note 4 runs open‑source firmware and supports multiple community projects, allowing users to integrate voice‑based AI assistants, coding tools such as OpenAI Codex or Claude, and other applications. The official firmware uses a cloud‑based Qwen 3.5 voice assistant (Chinese language support, English preview planned) while community firmware can add custom AI models and additional language capabilities.
