Zee Entertainment expands sports broadcasting rights in India

Zee Entertainment Enterprises Limited (ZEEL) is significantly expanding its sports broadcasting portfolio through new agreements for football and golf.

For the 2026-27 Indian Football League (IFL) season, ZEEL has partnered with DD Sports to increase domestic club football access. Under this arrangement, DD Sports will telecast every match, while selected fixtures will appear on Unite8 Sports. Digital coverage will be available via Z5, Prasar Bharati’s WAVES platform, and the official Unite8 Sports YouTube channel, providing a free streaming option for fans.

Additionally, ZEEL has acquired the broadcasting rights for the Professional Golf Tour of India (PGTI). This 12-month agreement covers 20 tournaments and up to 120 hours of live coverage. The golf events will be broadcast on Zee’s dedicated sports channels and Unite8 Sports, with streaming available on ZEE5. The move aims to increase the visibility of professional golf in India and complement Zee’s existing investments in international football.
