In July 2026, a Chinese owner of a Zeekr 9X, valued at approximately 500,000 yuan, encountered issues while traveling toward Europe. Upon entering Kazakhstan, the vehicle's system detected it was in an external region, triggering a security mechanism that disabled several smart functions. For over 30 hours, the owner was unable to use navigation and certain electronic commands.

Zeekr clarified that the vehicle's propulsion and braking systems remained unaffected, meaning the car was not completely immobilized and could still be driven.
