Zeekr electric cabins and hybrid city cars boost urban driving comfort

In Colombia’s congested metropolises, drivers spend an average of 153 hours a year stuck in traffic, prompting automakers to rethink the vehicle interior as a personal sanctuary. Zeekr, the Geely‑owned electric brand represented in Colombia, has redesigned its cabins to reduce urban stress, adding ergonomic seating, customizable ambient lighting and digital tools that let occupants work or relax while commuting. Juan Diego Jaramillo, Zeekr Colombia’s product and sales leader, says the company aims to turn the car into a “third space” for physical and digital decompression.

Meanwhile, a separate analysis of 2026 model‑year vehicles in the United States highlights the most fuel‑efficient hybrids for city driving. The Toyota Prius LE tops the list with an estimated 57 mpg in urban conditions, followed by the Kia Niro Hybrid at about 53 mpg. Both models use regenerative braking to capture energy during stop‑and‑go traffic, offering drivers lower fuel costs and reduced emissions without relying on full electric charging infrastructure.
