Zeekr targets premium EV market with Geely-backed luxury models

Zeekr, a premium electric vehicle brand under the Geely Group, is positioning itself to compete with established European luxury manufacturers such as Audi, BMW, and Mercedes-Benz. While the brand is Chinese-owned, it maintains a global design presence with its style center located in Gothenburg, Sweden, and utilizes the Sustainable Experience Architecture (SEA) platform shared with Polestar and Volvo.

The Zeekr 001 serves as a flagship model, described as an electric shooting brake that combines the aesthetics of a coupe with the utility of a station wagon. The vehicle features a high-tech, minimalist interior with premium materials and offers performance capabilities including 0-100 km/h acceleration in under four seconds for high-end versions. It competes in the luxury segment against models like the Audi A6 Avant e-tron and Porsche Taycan Sport Turismo.
