Zeeland entrepreneurs featured in Quote 500 rankings

The latest Quote 500 rankings highlight several wealthy individuals from the Dutch province of Zeeland, noting an increase in the number of millionaire households in the region.

Kees Meijer remains the wealthiest representative from Zeeland, with an estimated fortune of €975 million derived from potato and onion trading. Other notable figures include the Doeleman family, associated with Zeelandia, with an estimated €455 million, and Gerard Cok, valued at €235 million following his success in real estate.

Martin Verbrugge, a logistics and port entrepreneur, saw his wealth increase by an estimated €40 million, bringing his total to €210 million. Other listed individuals include Adrie Murre, an onion magnate with €190 million, François Claeijs, with €185 million, and Henk van Koeveringe, known for Roompot holiday parks.
