Zeelander 5 Luxury Yacht Targets 40‑Knot Speeds with Bentley‑Inspired Design
The Zeelander 5, a 48‑foot motor yacht built by a Dutch yard and delivered in July 2026, is marketed as an owner‑operated, crew‑less vessel. It combines a Volvo IPS propulsion system with joystick control, enabling a top speed of 40 knots while remaining whisper‑quiet.
The yacht’s exterior features a Bentley‑inspired metallic paint finish, while the interior draws on Hermès styling, including orange accents and diamond‑stitched leather. Customisation options extend to paint, woodwork, upholstery and bespoke fittings such as a built‑in humidor. The owner, a Turkish client, will have a full‑beam owner’s suite amidships and a twin guest cabin forward.
Founder and chairman Sietse Koopmans highlighted the platform’s proven hull and the extensive personalisation that makes each Zeelander 5 unique, despite the standardized hull shared across the Zeelander range.
