Zeewolde asylum seeker center residents raise funds for local food bank

Residents of an asylum seeker center (AZC) in Zeewolde participated in a Life and Movement Market to raise funds for the local food bank, Voedselbank de Kostmand. During the event, residents sold homemade products and international dishes for small amounts.

The food offerings included dishes prepared by residents from various countries, including Afghanistan, Syria, and Sudan. In addition to food, the Central Agency for the Reception of Asylum Seekers (COA) showcased creative activities organized within the center, such as woodcarving and crochet.

The initiative aimed to introduce Zeewolde residents to the activities of the center's inhabitants while seeking new volunteers for sports, dance, and various age-specific programs.
