Zeewolde to host annual youth summer fishing caravan

Hengelsportvereniging Ons Stekkie is organizing the annual Jeugd Zomer Viskaravaan in Zeewolde on August 29. This free event is designed for children aged 8 to 15 to learn various aspects of angling.

Participants will receive instruction on carp fishing, bankside searching, and fixed rod techniques. The program also includes fly fishing demonstrations and opportunities to try casting. For those interested in predator fishing, demonstrations will be provided from both the shore and boats, with a fully equipped predator fishing boat on site.

In addition to fishing, the event features workshops where youth can create their own fishing tackle, such as dropshot and carp leader lines. Each participant will receive a goodie bag and a fishing rod. Participation is free for those holding a valid youth fishing permit.
