ZEGG community celebrates 35 years in Bad Belzig

The ZEGG community in Bad Belzig celebrated its 35th anniversary with an event attended by approximately 200 guests, including local officials, former members, and neighbors.

Founded in September 1991 on a former Stasi site purchased from the Treuhand, the community was established as a center for experimental social design. While initially met with skepticism, the community has evolved into a significant cultural and social hub for the Fläming region.

During the celebration, Mayor Dr. Robert Pulz highlighted the community's economic impact, noting that ZEGG serves as an employer for approximately 25 people. He also praised the cooperation between the ZEGG operational fire brigade and the Bad Belzig volunteer fire department.
