Zeist council member Tamira Vos highlights community engagement

Tamira Vos, elected as a municipal council member for Pro Zeist in March, has highlighted the importance of engaging with the community outside of formal council meetings. During a series of site visits over the summer, Vos met with various organizations in Zeist, including those focused on accessibility, eating disorder support, and volunteer work.

Vos noted a recurring theme of local citizens and professionals working to improve social systems through volunteerism and direct action, often without formal municipal proposals. She also observed discrepancies between the municipality's perception of effective policies and the actual experiences of residents, emphasizing the need to better utilize local knowledge within the community.
