Zeki Celik signs three‑year contract extension with AS Roma until 2029
Turkish right‑back Zeki Celik, whose contract with AS Roma expired on 30 June, has agreed to a new three‑year deal that runs to June 2029. The agreement includes a salary rise from roughly €2 million net per season to about €2.5 million.
Celik joined Roma in the summer of 2022 and has made 151 official appearances, scoring two goals, while also earning 63 caps for the Turkish national team. During the summer transfer window he attracted interest from Juventus, Real Madrid and Fiorentina, the latter making a late attempt to sign him, but he kept his promise to coach Gian Piero Gasperini and will remain at the Serie A club.
The renewed contract secures Celik’s place in Roma’s defensive line as the club prepares for upcoming competitions, including a Champions League campaign.
