Zeki Çeler announces TDP 90-day emergency action plan

Zeki Çeler, leader of the Social Democracy Party (TDP), has unveiled a 40-step emergency action plan intended for the first 90 days following elections. The plan consists of 13 legislative steps to be introduced in Parliament and 27 executive actions to be implemented within the government.

A primary focus of the proposal is limiting parliamentary immunity to podium immunity through constitutional amendments. Other priorities include investigating a maritime disaster from August 30, addressing shortages of medicine and medical supplies in hospitals, and demanding the disclosure of population and citizenship data.

In a separate meeting with TÜRK-SEN President Arslan Bıçaklı, Çeler emphasized the party's commitment to labor rights. He pledged to pursue policies such as equal pay for equal work, sectoral minimum wages, and the regulation of wage scales. Çeler also expressed opposition to the privatization of public institutions and advocated for combating the informal economy to fund social protections.
