Zeki Çeler urges K-PET to withdraw dismissal of nine workers

Zeki Çeler, Chairman of the Social Democracy Party (TDP), has called on K-PET management to immediately withdraw its decision to dismiss nine employees. The dispute follows the cessation of operations at Ercan and is occurring amidst ongoing strikes led by the Dev-İş and Petrol-İş unions.

Çeler highlighted that the Ministry of Labour and Social Security has identified legal inconsistencies between the company's board decisions and the dismissal notifications. He criticized the management for persisting with the layoffs despite the Ministry's findings and suggested that the workers should instead be reassigned to different units within the company to ensure job security.
