Zelda: Ocarina of Time Switch 2 version receives CERO B rating

The upcoming Nintendo Switch 2 version of ‘The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time’, scheduled for release on November 5, 2026, has drawn attention due to its updated CERO rating. Unlike previous versions which received a CERO A (all ages) rating, the Switch 2 version is rated CERO B (ages 12 and up) and includes content descriptors for sexual themes, violence, horror, and crime.

This rating shift may be attributed to the enhanced graphical capabilities of the new hardware, which may make previously subtle elements of horror and violence more prominent. While the US ESRB rating remains E10+, the Japanese CERO rating includes a specific ‘sexual’ descriptor not present in the ESRB version.

In terms of retail, Nojima has announced a limited-edition bonus for pre-ordering the physical version, which includes a themed tissue case. Other retailers are also offering various pre-order incentives for the title.
