Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said Iran has been supplying Russia with Shahed‑136 attack drones since 2022 and has provided licences and related technology, which he described as a direct attack on Ukraine. He added that Iran’s foreign ministry summoned the Ukrainian diplomat after Ukraine struck an Iranian‑owned commercial vessel in the Caspian Sea, killing one sailor.

Zelensky also warned that Iran, North Korea and China are deepening military support for Russia. He cited North Korea’s delivery of drones, missiles, 155 mm artillery shells and about 10 000 troops, and China’s provision of satellites and targeting technology. While urging Ukraine to avoid opening a new front, he said Kyiv is prepared for possible Iranian retaliation and is tracking these three threats closely.
