Zelensky offers air ceasefire and front freeze to Putin

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has put forward a package of proposals to Russian President Vladimir Putin, including an air‑space ceasefire, a halt to attacks on energy facilities and a temporary freeze of combat along the front line. The offer, presented by presidential adviser Mykhailo Podolak, emphasizes Ukraine’s readiness for direct, face‑to‑face talks and aims to create conditions for “hard” negotiations before winter.

Podolak said Russia is not prepared to negotiate and that Putin appears determined to continue the war, despite internal economic pressures. Kyiv hopes the proposal, backed by the United States, will increase pressure on Moscow and force it to the negotiating table.
