Zelensky orders investigation after missile attack near Kyiv
A missile and drone strike struck the area west of Kyiv, including the town of Vyshneve, killing nine people and injuring dozens. Hundreds of residents were evacuated and fires burned for several days as authorities tackled the aftermath.
President Volodymyr Zelensky announced that investigations will be launched into violations of safety regulations concerning the storage of ammunition. He said responsible officials will be held accountable for allowing depots to be placed too close to civilian neighborhoods, underscoring the need for stricter security protocols and better coordination between military and civil authorities.
