Zelensky warns Belarus of border military buildup

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky says Ukrainian intelligence has documented construction of roads, ammunition depots and fuel‑storage facilities along the Ukraine‑Belarus border in several sectors, alleging the work is carried out under Russian influence. He called on Belarus to halt the infrastructure and to dismantle retransmitters he says have been used to direct Russian drone attacks.

Zelensky also announced a 40‑day pressure campaign against Russia, aiming to force Moscow to end the war. In related developments, a Ukrainian drone attack on June 24 disabled Russia’s fourth‑largest oil refinery, NORSI, in Nizhny Novgorod. Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko replied that Belarus does not want to fight Ukraine but will remain aligned with Russia.

The statements come amid broader concerns that Belarus could become more directly involved in the conflict, prompting Kyiv to issue what it calls “necessary signals” to Minsk and to seek de‑escalation.
