Zelenskyy and security experts weigh in on Russia-Ukraine conflict and US involvement

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy stated in an interview with CBC News that Vladimir Putin fears a potential revolt from Russian soldiers returning from the front, citing the 2023 Wagner Group mutiny as a precedent. Zelenskyy emphasized that a true victory for the world would be the achievement of peace and the protection of human life, rather than a unilateral military win for either side. He also suggested that Russia's territorial demands are not final and could be altered through diplomatic pressure and economic sanctions.

In a separate context regarding international security, former GROM soldier Krzysztof Przepiórka expressed skepticism regarding Donald Trump's willingness to provide military assistance to Poland in the event of a conflict with Russia. Przepiórka criticized Trump's recent comments urging Ukraine to stop attacking Russian installations to stabilize fuel supplies, suggesting such rhetoric aligns too closely with Putin. He noted that Poland remains heavily dependent on American military hardware, such as Abrams tanks and F-35 jets, but questioned the reliability of U.S. support given Trump's perceived stance toward the Kremlin.
